Dominus starts with a 5k command pool which is slowly depleted throughout the cycle and is almost empty in the end. Thus in the last day or so on Dominus, there is no real incentive to drop. Hence I think we should do something about Dominus in its last day of cycle or so.
When Dominus hits its last day (1440 turns till horizon):
- 10k command are added to the pool (the 10k are only paid on horizon)
- Limit on # of nodes per faction is removed
- Standard payout continues with pot - 10k command
First of all no one freak on the 10k command. It's once per week, I am sure what's left of the economy can survive that. I mean it already starts with 5k command, and 5 good konu cycles can give that much.
So basically on horizon each node would be worth (10k + what was left of the pool + command added from drops to pvp battle) / 49 (# of nodes)
So that's a minimum of 200 cmd per node... that's a lot. I am sure all who are online would drop to get their hands on as many as possible. People can go hardcore and try to monopolize the planet; in other words, PVP
Initially i tried adding 10k and disabling payout, but that would mean 50% of the 10k command would still go to the node holders over the cycle. Working around that is too complex. So what I did was basically:
- On last day, newsbot announces total war on dominus
- Modifications of planet description if total war is declared
- Command pot shows extra 10k (but it's not really there, just shows command pot + 10k) if total war is on
- Payout on horizon has 10k added to the node holders at horizon
- Node limit per faction removed on last day

Why not? Dominus is pretty wack at the moment, this sounds intriguing. |

I'm hesistant of all ideas that increase payout with the current stat that TW is... no matter how much you increase it, it doesn't mean more people will play.
It just makes the payout system more whack. _________________ The person who will go to great lengths to fight boredom...
