This should help Zedus be a lot more active if you don't have a bunch of wasted turns looking for the beacon.

As it stands, few are willing to defend because 3/4 of their CE goes into probes to find the thing, giving any attacker a free kill and bacon. This very much fixes that. Huge support.

This is my uneducated understanding (I don't do Zedus) of the change:

For the benefit to the defender to be real, beacon should be visible only if it hasn't been captured yet. Otherwise you are just dumbing it down - the attacker drops a LE to see what the defender has, drops a counter near the cycle and still gets a free kill plus a permanent deep view on the defender to make the right jump - while staying hidden himself until the very end. Awesome. I don't think it makes Zedus more fun in any way. Sure you can capture the beacon sooner but you are a sitting duck from there on.

Totally agree with kris. Bacon should only be visible if its uncaped.
So no support for perminent veiw of beacon.

NAY even if uncapped, as this will only facilitate beacon farming. It might increase activity for awhile but ultimately I do not believe this to have the intended effect

Updated. Beacon becomes visible on turn 8 (so I believe might be turn 7) and only remains visible if it is uncaptured. When captured it will only broadcast and it will broadcast at the rate of once every 3 turns (whatever Aldus is).
